The annual Fairwind Flotilla headed south again in February 2012. The flotilla, led by Fairwind’s Capt. Ben, sailed on beautiful yachts in the incomparable Moorings charter fleet, enjoying eighty-degree days and seventy-degree nights, fresh winds, and crystal clear waters. The brightly painted fish and other denizens of the deep got to know the mighty Dragoneers up close and personal, and the conch fritter, Cuban cigar, and rum supply were suitably depleted by sun-browned sailors at day’s end. Plans are already in place for our next trips in January of 2013. If you’ve always wanted to take such a trip, why not go with the nicest group of sailors you could ever want to know and with the security that only Fairwind can provide?
I have been sailing with Fairwind for twenty years, ever since getting hooked on sailing during a Caribbean bareboat adventure. Fairwind has been the most convenient and economical way to satisfy my craving. There have been countless times I wanted to buy my own boat, but I always return to reality and realize that for people like me with lots of other family and career commitments, timesharing gives me sailing without all the hassles of ownership. Capt. Ben tends Fairwind like an extended family. He is always available for a friendly chat or some sailing advice. Most importantly, his boats are in top condition and always cleaned up and ready for the next timeshare turn.
